Main Duties and Responsibilities of the role

• Managing Biogas projects
• Managing Waste2Energy projects
• Managing Bio-energy projects
• Technical and economical evaluation of bio-energy projects, specifically biogas
• Solid waste management
• Waste water treatment
• Promoting and development of Clean Development Mechanism projects

Qualifications

• Degree (M.Sc, Dipl.-Ing.(FH), B.Sc. or PhD) in process engineering, bio-technology, environmental technology, renewable energy technologies or similar.

Experience

• Experience in technical and economical aspects of developing bio-energy projects
• Experience in technical and economical aspects of developing waste2energy
• Strong technical skills and experience in, or familiarity with sectors as energy, waste or industrial processes
• Knowledge and interest in climate change projects and the carbon markets
• Project management experience in sectors as energy, waste or industrial processes

Skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
• Ability to manage own work effectively and prioritize tasks
• Ability to manage a team and other staff
• Working knowledge of common Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent German and Spanish or English language skills
